Welcome to www.RicOliva.com. Based out of Bloomington, MN (a subburb of Minneapolis and home to the Mall of America), I teach guitar lessons & songwriting, and I perform over 50 shows a year with 8 FOOT 4 and World According to Garth.

In 1998 I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Berklee College of Music with a degree in Contemporary Writing and Production. I am currently pursuing a Master of Music Education degree through Boston University (expected graduation May 2012). I currently teach private lessons at my home in Bloomington and I'm a faculty member at McNally Smith College of Music in St. Paul. In late 2000 I recorded and released my debut CD “High Class”.  In 2008 I recorded a reference library disc for Flash Forward Music featuring my original music for acoustic and classical guitar.  I currently perform solo for special occassions such as weddings as well as with larger groups.
